Wrap your hands around a warm mug of Transylvania Tea Party and be transported to the Carpathian Mountains. Breathe in the scent of Blood Orange, Cinnamon, Ginger and Clove—and you can almost imagine you’re Mina Harker being wooed by an elusive, sultry, Romanian Count. This tea whispers in your ear of foggy evenings on a moor, of hayrides through pumpkin fields and watching Hocus Pocus for the 5000th time. It is sultry and luscious, scented with Autumn spices and ready to be enjoyed by you.
Transylvania Tea Party was created in memory of a summer I spent working on an archaeological excavation of a medieval Hungarian cemetery in the Transylvania region of Romania. It was one of the best experiences of my life and only furthered my love of everything Vampires. While there I explored Bran Castle, Brasov, Vlad Tepes fort in Poenari and worked on excavating human skeletons from a cemetery dating as far back as the 1200s. One thing I fell in love with even more than all these experiences was the hospitality of the Székelys people and the delicious food! I wanted this tea to be a rich black tea that you can use for company, extending the hospitality of the Székely to your own community. I also wanted it to reflect the myth and lore of the Vampire in the form of Blood Orange and the sultriness off cinnamon. This tea smells like Autumn incarnate and will transport you at any time of year.
Transylvania Tea Party is full of Blood Orange, Cinnamon, Ceylon Black Tea, Hibiscus, Sweet Orange Peel, Ginger Root, Clove, Vanilla Bean, Bergamot Oil, Cinnamon Oil and Orange Oil. Serve this tea hot on a cold autumn evening (or turn the AC up and enjoy it now!) It is a caffeinated tea with cinnamon and orange high notes nestled in a delicious Ceylon Black Tea.
*Please Note* We do not recommend using milk in this tea as the high amount of citrus will curdle the milk.
*Also Note* We use real Ginger Root which is a hairy little fellow. You may find stray ginger fuzz in your tea and is nothing to be concerned by and is entirely edible. The Ginger Root has asked for no further comment on its hairiness as its 2021 and its chosen to ditch the razor.
