Description
Safflower is an annual broadleaf plant in the aster family that produces rounded yellow or reddish-orange flower heads and rosettes of branched leaves, like a thistle. Sometimes used as a substitute for saffron, hence it is also known as Bastard Saffron. They are a common additive in tea blends as they add a vibrant pop of color
